Hi! I’m Chelsea

I’m Chelsea (she/her), a Brooklyn-based Therapeutic Yoga, Meditation, Mindfulness, and Intuition Teacher. I’m passionate about weaving practical mindfulness and spirituality into everyday life—making these practices grounded, accessible, and truly supportive in the real world.

Adventure, Nature & Community

Originally from Westchester, NY, I spent the last decade moving between Central America and New York City. I grew up in a household of women, spending much of my childhood exploring the outdoors with my sisters. While I’m deeply rooted in my family and community in the NYC area, I’ve always been inherently curious about life and the world—drawn to travel, adventure, and time in nature.

I received my Bachelor’s Degree in International Studies (with a Minor in Art) from Elon University. I’ve lived in Guatemala and Panama and spent extended time in Costa Rica, Colombia, and Spain.

Yoga, Meditation & Mindfulness

I found yoga and meditation 16 years ago during my first week of college. In my early twenties, these practices became a lifeline as I navigated significant mental health challenges, including medical PTSD, panic attacks/panic disorder, derealization, anxiety, and depression. Over the years, my practice has evolved far beyond postures, meditation, and pranayama into a way of living—one rooted in yoga philosophy, mindfulness, intuition, and spirituality. I love to share this through my writing and storytelling, in my classes, and with anyone interested.

I have been teaching yoga, meditation, mindfulness & intuition for 8 years and have 1,500+ Hours of a variety of Certifications (Yoga Alliance RYT® 500). My training includes Advanced Meditation & Mindfulness, Trauma-Informed Yoga, and various styles including Hatha, Vinyasa, Gentle, Restorative, Yin, Prenatal + Postnatal, Kids’ Yoga, Energy Work, and Tarot (more on this below). I have experience leading retreats, and I’ve taught both group and private students with a wide range of experiences and backgrounds. I am currently in school for Yoga Therapy.

Yoga is far more than movement, and I am committed to honoring its roots while sharing its depth, wisdom, and healing potential. As a teacher, my intention is to create a safe, supportive space where people of all bodies, backgrounds, and life experiences can explore their practice in a way that feels authentic and empowering to them. Practice—like life—is always shifting, and I aim to offer practical tools that help my students meet themselves where they are, in every season of their life.

Certifications & Studies

I am a Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance (RYT® 500) and have been teaching Yoga, Meditation, Mindfulness, and Intuition for 8 years. I hold more than 1,500+ hours of professional training certifications, including my Prenatal & Postnatal Yoga Certifications.

Beyond formal training, I have thousands of hours of personal practice and study across various spiritual, mystical, and philosophical traditions and have learned from many teachers over the last 16 years, including Buddhism, Taoism, Intuition Development, Astrology, Tarot, Human Design, Lunar and Seasonal Living, Dream Work/Lucid Dreaming, Energy Work, Spiritual Surrender, Manifestation, Synchronicity, and more.

I am currently a Candidate for Yoga Therapy. I am enrolled in the Yoga Therapy Program with Prema Yoga Institute (PYI). I’ve completed the first year and main coursework and am now in my second year—the integration and practicum phase—where I conduct yoga therapy independently in both one-on-one and group settings under the guidance of professional mentors.
